Some things you may not know about Laura

  • Laura grew up in Winnipeg, has five siblings, and was raised by a superhero single mom.
  • Outside > Inside any day. Unless it’s -30. Getting out in nature with her husband and three kids is key to keeping her grounded.
  • An active lifestyle matters. Laura loves hiking, biking, and running. The runner’s adrenaline rush is one like no other.

What makes Laura a great Strategist

Laura ended up in marketing accidentally. After majoring in Finance and Human Resources Management in University, she landed her first Marketing job through her student council network. Working with amazing mentors, while developing complex programs and campaigns, built her drive for marketing strategy. Understanding what matters to the customer, collaboratively working through solutions to meet a need, and seeing a successful end result is what motivates her most. 

Before joining Sensible Marketer, Laura worked for Manitoba Lotteries and Shaw Communications. Her background in building multi-channel marketing campaigns, go-to-market strategies, and strategic planning allows her to serve her clients with confidence.

Today, you can find Laura working on strategies for digital campaigns and mapping customer lifecycles. As a strategist, her passion and inquisitive nature lead her to building consensus on strategy that touches multiple audiences and departments.

In her time off, you’ll either find her taking her family on hikes and trails in the rocky mountains and Kananaskis, nose deep in a book, scrolling social media, running on the treadmill, or frequenting one of many local playgrounds. #3kids5andunder!
